Are you a aspiring product manager looking to gain hands-on experience in software development and management? Or do you know someone who fits this description? If so, I have an exciting opportunity to share with you.

Why I’m Searching for a PM (Not a Job Offer… But Hear Me Out)

I’m Till, an IT professional from Germany, currently based in Saigon, Vietnam. After years of agency work, I’ve achieved financial freedom and am now transitioning into creating my own products and growing my YouTube channel.

My mission is simple: to teach non-technical founders how to lead software teams effectively. And I’m looking for a collaborator to join me on this journey.

The Project: Management in Public

We’re embarking on an ambitious project: creating a new MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with daily videos on my YouTube channel. It’s not indie development or indie hacking – it’s what I call “indie management.”

Here’s what we’re planning:

  1. Build a real product in the internet marketing space
  2. Document the entire process on YouTube
  3. Create 5 videos per week, with 2-4 featuring our collaboration

This is where you come in.

What You’ll Learn

If you join this collaboration, you’ll gain invaluable experience in:

  • Working directly with developers
  • Planning software thoroughly
  • Hiring and managing a development team
  • Specifying features and determining priorities
  • Conducting quality assurance
  • Launching a real product

Plus, you’ll get a case study and a wealth of content you can use to grow your own social media presence.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate for this collaboration:

  • Has excellent English skills (better than mine – I’m German!)
  • Is comfortable on camera and has a decent camera and microphone setup
  • Can commit 1-2 hours every workday
  • Has a basic understanding of management concepts and can explain them
  • Is eager to grow their own social media presence

What to Expect

This collaboration involves:

  • Regular video calls (at least twice a week, potentially up to four times)
  • Sharing your perspective on working with a new dev team
  • Real stakes, real effort, and a real deadline (end of October)
  • A chance to be part of building something useful for online promotion

We’ll start from the very basics, so don’t worry if you don’t have coding experience or advanced management skills. What’s crucial is your ability to learn, adapt, and communicate effectively on YouTube.

What We Offer

While this isn’t a paid position, it offers significant benefits:

  • Hands-on learning experience in product management
  • Exposure on a growing YouTube channel
  • Shorts content for your own growth on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
  • A real-world case study for your portfolio

We’ll handle all the editing, publishing, and coding. Your main focus will be on learning and sharing your journey.

How to Apply

If this opportunity excites you, here’s how to get in touch:

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Attach a Loom video introducing yourself
  3. Explain why you’re interested and what you hope to gain from this collaboration

Remember, I’ll be evaluating your camera presence and communication skills, so put your best foot forward in the video!

Conclusion

This is a unique opportunity to learn product management by doing, gain exposure, and be part of an exciting project. If you’re ready to dive into the world of software development management and grow your skills in a public setting, this collaboration could be perfect for you.

Don’t miss out on this chance to kickstart your product management career in a truly innovative way. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, send in that application video today!

And for everyone else, if you’re curious about what we’re going to do with this project, make sure to subscribe to the channel. We’re about to embark on an exciting journey of learning, building, and sharing – and we’d love for you to join us!
