Sci-Fi Books I read in 2025
November 26, 2025

Books I read:
Hail Mary
Probably the best books I ever read. They make a movie from it now.
Artemis
Also good, but a weird writing style. Also, the action was a bit unrelatable to me.
Pilot X
Skipped it after a couple of pages. Too many characters introduced too fast.
Beacon 23
Solid book. Great writing style. I had to laugh out loud a couple of times. Small story, well executed. Great inner monologues.
Dead Lake (Tricky's Tales Book 1)
Great idea with the dog-like species - but after a bit it went too weird. Skipped it 20% in.
Seven Eves
Neal Stephenson's masterpiece. Never enjoyed a book like this so much. I would place it higher than Hail Mary even.
The Life Engineered
Okay book. A bit hard to grasp as it played entirely in a weird galactic robot world.
Other non-sci-fi books
- Billion Dollar Whale. Very captivating.
- American Kingpin. Such a crazy story. Good read
On my TODO list
- Solaris - Stanislaw Lem
- Pierce Brown: Red rising series
- Robert Charles Wilson: Spin trilogy, with Axis (the second) published in 2007 and Vortex, 2011
- Ubik (Philip K. Dick.)
- Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
- The Three-Body Problem trilogy by Liu Cixin
- Blindsight by Peter Watts
- Stephenson: Anathem, The Diamond Age for near-future nanotech
- Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson
- Rise (Future Worlds, 1) -- Brian Guthrie
